Certification Body: Certification of Energy Workers
Since 2015, UAB "Verslo Aljansas" Certification Body has been accredited to conduct the certification of energy workers, adhering to the highest international quality standards.
Certification is carried out according to the energy workers certification scheme, coordinated with the State Energy Inspectorate, and complies with the provisions of the LST EN ISO/IEC 17024:2012 standard “Conformity Assessment. General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification of Persons.”
From August 1, 2024:
Certification is conducted in accordance with the General Procedure for Certification of Energy Workers, approved by the decision of the State Energy Regulatory Council on December 18, 2020, No. O3E-1458.

What are the Main Sectors for Energy Workers Certification?
Energy workers are certified in the following sectors:
- Electricity – maintenance of electrical networks and equipment.
- Heat Energy – production, supply, and operation of heat equipment.
- Gas Energy – maintenance of gas supply systems.
- Oil Energy – processing and distribution of oil products.
Can an Energy Company Certify its Own Employees?
Yes, an energy company can certify its employees if a certification commission is formed. Employees can also be certified by an independent certification body no less frequently than every three years according to legal requirements. (Lithuanian Energy Law Article 281 Section 2)
Who is Responsible for Certifying Energy Workers?
Employee certification is conducted by company managers or their authorized persons, ensuring that all certification processes run smoothly. (Description of the Procedure for Certification of Energy Workers Chapter I Section 3)
How is Knowledge Assessed During Certification?
Employee knowledge is assessed through tests based on legal acts.

What is the Frequency of Certification?
- Managers of energy companies, engineering category employees – no less frequently than every five years.
- Workers category employees – no less frequently than once every three years. (Lithuanian Energy Law Article 281 Section 2 and 3).
What is the Energy Workers Certification Information System (EDAIS)?
EDAIS is a system created by the State Energy Regulatory Council that allows for the management of certification processes and ensures that all employees have the necessary qualifications and are prepared to perform their assigned tasks. The system is accessible at www.edais.vert.lt.
Is the Energy Worker Certificate Valid Abroad?
The energy worker certificate grants the right to perform activities only in the Republic of Lithuania. (Description of the Procedure for Certification of Energy Workers Chapter I Section 3)
How to Submit an Application for Certification?
Applications are submitted through the (EDAIS) system. All fields must be filled out and the necessary documents submitted. It is important to precisely follow the submission instructions.
What Happens if the Application is Incorrectly Filled out?
If the application does not meet the requirements, the paid fee is not refunded. Therefore, the application should be filled out carefully and consultation sought if questions arise.
What to Do if I Fail the Exam?
If the exam is not passed, you can register for a retake and pay for the service again.
